Logging Trip Actions in the Trransfer Driver Mobile App

Modified on Mon, 26 Jun, 2023 at 8:27 AM

Safety first! Reduce the number of phone calls and text messages from customers to check on your location when you're on the road and driving.

Log your trip actions for each job in the Trransfer Driver mobile app so that customers enjoy peace of mind knowing their travellers are well on their way to their destination.

NOTE: Trip actions can only be logged by the driver via the Trransfer Driver mobile app currently. A future release will allow Fleet Managers and system administrators to record the trip action in the system on behalf of their drivers.

Logging Trip Actions as a Driver

There are a total of 5 key successive actions that you can take from start to end of a trip.

TABLE OF CONTENTS

Start your trip status

You can start your next upcoming trip from the home page, or from the job list in the 2nd tab 'To-do List'.

Enroute to pick-up location

This is the first, and an important, action that would inform us that you are preparing for the upcoming trip, or that you are already on your way. The Trransfer Control Centre monitors this closely and if no trip action is taken, they will make a courtesy call to ensure the job will not be missed.

NOTE: There is an 'Undo' action that you can take within 5 seconds if you click on an action by mistake. After the 5 seconds, the 'Undo' action will no longer be available and the trip action is logged officially.

Upload selfie for 'Driver on site'

When you arrive at the pick-up location, you may be asked to upload a selfie if you are more than 50 metres away from the location, if you are offline or if the GPS is not able to detect your location.

Passenger onboard

Don't forget any customised meet-and-greet signs! Once you have successfully met the passenger and brought them to your vehicle, you can log this status. The system will also automatically log this as the trip starting time.

Passenger dropped off

Log this final milestone when your passenger has safely alighted from your vehicle at their destination.

Completing a trip

Occasionally, there may be additional requests made by the passenger during the trip, such as taking an extra stop or taking a different route which may incur additional costs. After the passenger has been dropped off at their destination, these extra costs can be added to the trip together with a photo of the receipt or supporting evidence of the additional service rendered. During this in a timely manner allows us to reconcile bills and process supplier payments faster. Drivers have up to 72 hours after the trip to reconcile finances, after which the job will be closed and any updates will be subject to further review.

NOTE: It is strongly recommended that you enable or allow notifications from the Trransfer Driver mobile app so you do not miss any important notifications for your jobs. Click on links for instructions on how to enable notifications for iOS and Android.
